How to read Market Shifts

Latest report per yearHistorical years generally use December full-year results. 2026 is year-to-date through July.
Combined market scopeFrom 2025, Tesla and Polestar EV Council registrations are assigned to their market category, segment, electric fuel type and China origin. Buyer mix remains VFACTS-only because the EV Council does not publish buyer classifications.
Source definitionsNames and classifications follow the source report for each period. Historic category changes can affect direct comparisons.
